Cees Braakman for Pastoe design chair

This chair is a design by Cees Braakman featuring the characteristic curved, lightly springy wooden backrest. It is similar to the Pastoe FB14 armchair, but in this model, it is openworked. A beautiful design that is incredibly comfortable to sit in! It has some signs of use, such as dents in the wood.

This chair was completely painted white, had a floral fabric over a torn white vinyl, and an orange tweed. First, all the upholstery was removed, and then it was completely sanded down. Subsequently, it was upholstered with a beautiful woven fabric from Ploeg, which complements the extra matte lacquer finish applied to the wood.
